Service Description

We will be mainly practicing mindfulness exercises supported by a natural environment . Focusing on a full and deepened forest experience, gently engaging the environment with care , trying to place ourselves within, rather than disturb. Amongst the collection of practices will be the practice of RAIN. This is an acronym for: R - Recognise - feelings , pains , emotions , not avoiding them but being with them fully. Anger ,can be a difficult emotion for example . In this phase we are encouraged to feel what we feel even pain and truly see what is within us emerging . We may say to ourselves ; "There is pain , there is anger". A - Acknowledge - in this phase we acknowledge and accept the feeling, emotion , fear etc , it is like a 'visitor' knocking at our door . The thoughts don't live there , greet them and let them go. We may also reframe ideas , anger may be seen as painful . Try and create space for everything even though it feels uncomfortable. I- Investigate - explore the feeling with a sense of curiosity. N- Non identify /Nourish - at this phase we don't identify ourselves with what we have observed. We may choose to nourish ourselves with an activity. Within the peace of the forest and under expert guidance this self exploration can be very fruitful for self discovery. The environment of the forest allows us to create nature rituals and practices that mean we may walk out of the forest feeling some real awareness and change .
